Marieke visited India from March 4th-26th. She first presented her research at the International Conference on Meditation, where she talked about the role of computational modelling in meditation research. The research findings of the collaboration with Sera Jey monastic university were presented by some of the monastic collaborators. The conference was also covered by the Times of India. After this conference, she gave talks (including a ballet performance) at Srishti College, and then another talk (without ballet performance) at NIMHANS. After this, she spent 2 weeks working with the monks of Sera Jey to do detailed coding of the EEG debate data, and she started a questionnaire study of the monks’ emotions.
