Lab visits the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Psychonomie Congress in Egmond aan Zee

From December 14-16th, 2017, the lab visited the Nederlandse Vereniging voor Psychonomie Congress in Egmond aan Zee. We had quite a strong presence with many talks and posters:

  • Marieke organised the symposium “Clarifying the cognitive mechanisms underlying mind wandering”, with speakers Jonathan Smallwood, Klaus Linkenkaer-Hansen and Marieke (who gave the talk “Using computational modeling of cognitive to differentiate between rumination-modes and day-dreaming- modes of mind-wandering”)
  • Stefan gave the talk “The Wandering Self: Tracking Self-Generated Thought in a Cognitively Demanding Context”
  • master student Maarten van der Velde gave the talk “Modelling Rumination: Understanding the Cognitive Mechanisms of Mind-Wandering in the Depressed Mind”
  • Christina presented the poster “Developing an EEG biomarker of mind-wandering”
  • Oscar presented the poster “

    The relation between oscillatory synchrony and specific cognitive operations in an associative recognition memory task”
